Robbie Bowman - Licensed House Builder
I have a strong passion and sense of pride for my profession as a builder, which has led to me working in both the commercial and residential sectors in Wellington since 2010. In 2015, after years of commercial building experience, I decided to focus solely on working as a contractor on residential projects. This is the type of building work that I enjoy the most.
Since then, I’ve completed new-home builds, renovations, alterations and additions to houses and rooms, maintenance and repairs, and hardscape landscaping projects.
I specialise in home renovations, having undertaken many projects requiring the complete demolition and installation of new bathrooms, kitchens, roofs, structural walls, and fences.
I respond quickly to enquiries from clients and book an initial consultation as soon as possible. I listen to the client’s requirements, provide advice on suitable materials and products, and estimate completion timeframe and project costs. I provide quotes that accurately account for all the work agreed upon.
My clients consistently provide positive feedback and appreciation for my standards of workmanship, and regularly refer my services to their family, friends and neighbours. I’ve gratefully obtained five jobs along one street in Karori from such referrals.
As a small company, I’m able to offer a high degree of personal service, and maintain positive, enduring relationships with all of my clients. Having one point of contact improves communication and ensures the construction process run smoothly and in a stress-free manner for the client.
Building project manager
As the project manager and main building contractor on site, I manage every aspect of the job, including sub-contractors, product and material purchases, health and safety requirements, building code compliance, and final council inspections.
I’m a NZ licensed building practitioner (LBP), which means I’m licensed to carry out building work that requires resource consent. I’m also a member of the NZ Certified Builders Association – my work is backed by a 10-year residential building guarantee.
